163 region what city. Car codes of Russian regions on license plates

Registration license plates of the Russian Federation- a special symbolic sign (No.), made (applied) on metal (or other material) plates (forms) or a vehicle (VV), used to record cars, motorcycles, trucks, special, construction equipment and weapons, trailers.

Installed on the front and rear of equipment (on trailers and motorcycles - only on the rear).

In the Russian Federation, the majority of registration marks are standard signs of the 1993 model, the type of which is determined by GOST R 50577-93. License plates of route vehicles, military vehicles, diplomatic mission vehicles, Ministry of Internal Affairs vehicles, trailers, construction equipment and motorcycles have a format and/or size slightly different from the standard one.

Combinations on standard license plates are built on the principle of 3 letters, 3 numbers. The letters indicate the license plate series, and the numbers indicate the number. GOST allows 12 Cyrillic letters for use on signs, which have graphic analogues in the Latin alphabet - A, IN, E, TO, M, N, ABOUT, R, WITH, T, U And X. On the right side of the license plate, in a separate quadrangle, are located: in the lower part - the flag of the Russian Federation with the inscription RUS, and at the top - the code designation of the subject of the Russian Federation where the car was registered. Moreover, the letters are smaller in font size than the numbers.

All numbers used are registered. Each administrative district has its own number, common to all vehicles registered in that district. The total number of sets of registration plates that can be produced for each subject of Russia is determined by GOST and is 1 million 726 thousand 272 (=12??(10?-1), there cannot be a number of three zeros).

Initially, only numbers from 01 before 89 , by the number of regions of the Russian Federation as of January 1, 1993. However, the number of registered cars increases every year, and license plates with valid combinations are beginning to be scarce. For this reason, a number of Russian regions have introduced additional codes that can be used on signs; first began issuing region codes from the ninth ten ( 9x) (except for code 92), and then moved on to three-digit area codes. Three or more region codes are used by Moscow (codes 77, 99, 97, 177, 199, 197, 777), Moscow region (50, 90, 150, 190, 750), Krasnoyarsk Territory (24, 84, 88, 124), St. Petersburg (78, 98, 178), Krasnodar Territory (23, 93, 123), Perm Territory (59, 81, 159) and Sverdlovsk Region (66, 96, 196), while the Krasnoyarsk and Perm Territories received codes for 8 “inheritance” from other subjects of the federation included in their composition. 19 entities use two area codes. First area code starting with 9 began to be issued in July 1998, and the first three-digit code - in February 2005 (in both cases - in Moscow). After the mergers of regions that took place in 2005-2008, the issuance of most numbers with region codes from the eighth dozen (starting with 8 ), discontinued.

The digital codes used on registration plates, from 01 to 89, initially coincided with the numbers of the regions - constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the order of their listing in Art. 65 clause 1 of the Russian Constitution as amended at the time of creation of the standard for state license plates. The full list of digital codes is fixed by Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation dated February 19, 1999 No. 121 “On State Registration Plates of Vehicles” and, subsequently, by Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation dated March 28, 2002 No. 282 (as amended on August 29, 2011) “On state registration plates of vehicles." In particular, it establishes: “On registration plates of vehicles classified as type 1, it is allowed to use the number 1 as the first digit of the code in the three-digit region code.” Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation dated June 26, 2013 N 478 Moscow “On amendments to the List of digital codes of regions of the Russian Federation used on state registration plates of vehicles and other special products necessary for the admission of vehicles and their drivers to participation in road traffic, approved by order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia dated March 28, 2002 N 282,” new three-digit regional codes are being introduced in the Russian Federation. They will start with the number 7.

The state registration number on the car is a mandatory element. This is a kind of identifier that allows you to distinguish this vehicle from a large number of similar cars, and therefore the presence of two identical license plates on different cars is not acceptable.

Traffic police officers strictly monitor the condition of state signs. They must be clear, easily readable, and fixed in a strictly designated place. Otherwise, the car owner faces a large fine. It is by using vehicle license plates that road surveillance cameras record violations committed by car owners on the country’s roads.

In 1993, a decision was made on regional coding of license plates. At the same time, certain colors were introduced:

  • for public transport - yellow;

  • cars belonging to the Ministry of Internal Affairs - blue;

  • military vehicles - black;

  • and also for cars belonging to diplomatic consulates - red.

Thus, the license plates of cars, in addition to three numbers and three letters, as well as the flag of the Russian Federation, acquired additional numbers in the upper right corner - the code of the administrative unit of Russia where the vehicle is registered.

Why are Russian regional numbers needed on cars?

The numbers of Russian regions on car license plates are a kind of registration of the car. Each subject of the federation has its own code. It is from this that you can find out where the car came from and where it is registered. And how nice it is, far from home, to suddenly see a car with a familiar code on the highway. How can you not, at least by flashing your headlights, greet your fellow countryman!

The numbers of Russian regions on cars, the table of which is presented below, allow traffic police inspectors to accurately determine where, for example, the car of a traffic rule violator is registered, and to easily find it.

Lately, the results have not always been positive. This is due to the permit, despite the permanent place of residence of the car owner. In this case, the region code does not match the place of registration of the car owner.

Initially, when compiling a table of automobile codes, all subjects of the federation were divided into groups, that is, republics, territories, regions, federal cities, autonomous regions and districts were taken separately. After that, they were alphabetically distributed into separate groups, and then this list was numbered from 01 to 89.

But, as you know, nothing lasts forever. So, from time to time, corresponding changes began to be made to the code table. Since some regions were running out of number combinations, it became necessary to introduce new codes for them.

All this indicates an increase in the number of vehicles in this region. In this regard, Moscow remains the leader, which, in addition to code 77, has already been assigned additional code marks: 97, 99, 177, 197, 199, 777. According to preliminary data, by 2020 the number of cars registered in Moscow may exceed 10 million units . As for St. Petersburg, there are three codes: 78, 98 and 178.

The reason for making changes to the table may also be changes in the structure of the federal subjects themselves.

To date, the last region to be assigned a new code was the Republic of Crimea. The automobile code of Crimea is 82 (in the future it is planned to issue codes with numbers 182 and 782), and the city code of Sevastopol is 92 (in the future - 192 and 792).

We recommend downloading, printing and putting in the glove compartment a table of regional numbers on Russian license plates, which additionally indicates the regional telephone numbers of traffic police duty stations and hotlines - (pdf file).

Considering that the region code on a license plate has lost its former significance, it may soon be abolished.

    We have normal numbers. I think the region code does not interfere at all, but on the contrary, it only helps. It lifts your spirits when you see your fellow countrymen a thousand kilometers from home.

    Anatole

    Initially, the division was logical: first the republics, then the territories, and at the end the regions. And after adding new region numbers, everything becomes more and more confusing day by day. But I think that the codes will not be abolished - then the entire structure of the number plate will have to be changed significantly and the signs of car owners will have to be replaced. And this is expensive.

    Dmitriy

    It also seems to me that the region code will not be abolished. Without it, it will be necessary to add a few more numbers and letters - there are already a gigantic number of cars, one or two new letters in the designation will not be enough.

    Marina

    Since cars began to be sold with license plates, it is not always possible to determine where the owner is from based on the car number. We just recently bought a car with a license plate from a region other than ours and didn’t bother changing it; we liked the plate. A friend also bought a car in Moscow, and now drives around our province with Moscow license plates.

    oks314

    I was once stopped by traffic police officers just to ask what region my car was from. Eh, they didn’t have such a table at hand! 🙂

    Olga

    But I don’t like that now you can have a license plate of one region, but live in another. We often travel and sometimes ask local drivers something, but how else can we determine whether it is local or not, just by the registration number of the car.

    Elena

    I also want to express my opinion against the fact that cars are sold with license plates. Yes, of course, this procedure has a lot of advantages - you don’t need to pay for a new number, but now this table is not suitable for determining membership in the region. In Saratov, for example, there has already been a 30 percent increase in Muscovites)

    Michael

    For me, the division of regions is necessary. Let’s say “in a foreign land” it’s easier to meet your fellow countryman, and this is important.

    Dmitriy

    I agree that belonging to a region can now be difficult to determine by number. It is clear that the majority of cars will drive with the numbers of their region, but nevertheless, there are more and more “guests” in our city, for example.

    Irina

    I began to notice that cars with license plates of different regions began to appear in my small village, but what would happen if these regions did not exist? I believe that divisions by region are necessary because it is easier to determine where a person is from.

    Ksenia

    Previously, it was with the regional numbers when buying a car that it was possible to unmistakably determine where the car was “brought” from. Now there is some confusion, since numbers are registered with codes that do not correspond to the region. Although, if you wish, you can find out at the traffic police department what license plates with codes are currently issued.

    Marina

    She worked in a company that processed the purchase and sale of cars. I agree with the comments above, the market is now replete with different regions. Based on the region code on the license plate, it is absolutely not clear whether the car was brought in, or whether it was actually driven in my city, just with license plates from a different region. I hope the previous system will be introduced soon!

    Lyokha

    I bought my last car in Moscow; the dealership spent a long time trying to persuade me to buy it along with the license plate (it was financially beneficial for them), but I, as a true patriot of my region, flatly refused)). And I drove the car home with a calm soul, I didn’t pay attention to the cameras - there were no license plates))

    Vitaly

    Mordovia's lucky number is 13. If regional numbers are abolished, the main thing is that they don't force everyone to change their numbers. This will be chaos

    Konstantin

    Number 82 is already being issued throughout the country. In St. Petersburg they couldn’t decide whether to make 778 or 798

    Andrey

    In general, the idea of a modern Russian number is not bad, but it seems to me that there is one small mistake in the calculations and prospects - this is the region number. In some cities they have already begun to print it as a three-digit number. When will it end? Remodel again? After all, a four-digit number won’t fit into the window! Someone will say that it will not end soon, but I will say that not so long ago they also thought that two numbers would be enough, and here is the result! But every year there are more drivers and more cars. From the very beginning it was necessary to design in a European manner, you see, maybe they could go there without visas. 🙂

    Olga

    I will definitely print this table and take it with me in the car. I think every driver should have one in their glove compartment.

    serg

    A scanner is a handy thing for determining when it’s time to go to a car service center. My friend has this thing.

    Denis

    As for me, the region on the numbers is nonsense. Many people buy cars in neighboring cities, then drive them in their own cities; identification in this case is not possible. Plus, many people drive with fake license plates; no one controls this, but they should. This thing is exclusively for honest people.

    Nikolay

    Back in 2012, there was a proposal to remove the region code from numbers. Now this question has come up again, they want to remove the code, increase the number of letters and numbers - four numbers and four letters, plus a checkbox. And also equip them with electronic chips. These are all projects and when they will be implemented, if they are implemented, no one knows. Technically, this whole procedure is not complicated, except for the chips, mathematicians have already calculated everything, but both laws and GOSTs will have to be changed. But chipping signs is fantastic today. The idea is interesting, you can find out all the ins and outs about the car and the owner. In my opinion, this is already unnecessary. Who would like it if a biography hangs before everyone’s eyes? Craftsmen will immediately find a loophole to decrypt.

    Marina

    We bought a car with license plates and still had to change them. They couldn’t register it because the old owner hadn’t paid transport tax for 4 years. I don’t see the point in allowing old license plates to remain on a purchased car.

    Valery

    After cars were no longer re-registered at the place of residence, the relevance of region codes was lost. The road is replete with a variety of codes.

    Maksim

    Nowadays, area codes don't make any sense. Previously, you most often met your own and neighboring regions, but now you can’t even remember them. All different. But I think it’s not worth removing the codes, while they are thinking about what “letters and numbers” to add, 100% there will be a lot of problems and errors.

    Irina

    If previously it was clear whether local/non-local and what to expect from the driver on the road, now everything is mixed up.

    Daria

    But I think that there is no point in setting numbers according to regions, because... Most drivers buy cars in other cities and have the right not to change them. In this case, you should either introduce a mandatory number change rule, or completely cancel regional numbers.

    Natalia

    When you spend a lot of time on the road, you increasingly pay attention to car numbers and their abbreviations. As mentioned above, it really makes your soul warmer when you see “native” region codes in the stream. I always wanted to have a plate with area codes on hand to satisfy my curiosity, besides, the number of cars is increasing and new codes are being added. Now I will always know who is going where!

    Nikolay

    When area codes first came out, it was quite interesting to see, especially on long trips. Then I became interested in knowing which regions they correspond to, so the Internet came to the rescue - I printed them out and threw them in the glove compartment. And now, apparently, there are so many cars that there are no longer enough of these codes, so they began to enter numbers in front of the code into the numbers, then 1, and if there are not enough others. And if they are canceled now, confusion will probably begin, because there will not be enough Latin letters and numbers for such a huge country. This is in Europe, everything is simple, there are no region codes, there in front of the numbers they write three letters from the name of the city of registration of the vehicle, for example, the city of Budva - BUD, Prague - PRG, and then three numbers. But in our country this is not possible in principle.

    Ivanovich

    When introducing region codes into state license plates, I liked it at first. A logical order was established to visually understand from which region this or that car is traveling along the road. Now so many new codes have been introduced, not due to the increase in regions in Russia, Crimea, for example, but due to the increase in the number of cars in certain regions. It seems to me that it is necessary to make a decision to change the formation of codes. Enter a four-digit number of regions, and, or add two digits to the old, original two-digit codes, i.e., to the original code 77, for example, add 77 01; 77 12... Or completely change the encoding to four-digit.

    Nikolay

    In the Rostov region we started issuing numbers with code 761.

Often tourists, traveling around the country, ask: region 163, what city is it? It's simple - this is Samara. This settlement is the sixth largest city in Russia. Samara is famous for its sights, estates of great people, ancient houses, stunning views of the Volga and walking along the embankment.

History of Samara

Samara was first mentioned in documents in 1357, when Moscow Metropolitan St. Alexy visited this area while traveling to the Golden Horde. In the documents one can find another mention of the settlement-marina Samar around the same period - in 1367. After 200 years, the king ordered the founding of a fortress to the south of the pier. The purpose of this construction was to protect the banks of the Volga and the southern borders of Rus'. Historians consider the date 1586 to be the year of the founding of Samara. There are several translations of the name: some claim that Samara means “steppe river” from Turkic. Others are of the opinion that from Greek samar means merchant, ra means Volga.

In the period 1935-1991. the city was named in honor of When the war was going on, evacuated factories were located in Samara. At that time, aircraft, weapons, and ammunition were produced here. After some time, Samara became known as the 163rd region.

Geography

The city is located on the left bank of the Volga between two rivers: Sok and Samara. Initially, the city began to be built where the left tributary - the Samarka River - flows into the Volga. Also, the first settlements were on the bend of the National Nature Reserve, called the Samarskaya Luka. The city has the shape of a triangle due to the fact that it is located along the Volga and retreats from it all the way to Samarka. The area of the settlement is now 466 square meters. km.

163 region, which is Samara, is famous for its Falcon Mountains. Strelnaya Mountain has a maximum height of 286 meters. In the 16th-17th centuries. An observation post from the Zhigulevskaya Volnitsa was located here.

Federal highways pass through Samara:

  • M5: Chelyabinsk-Ufa-Samara-Penza-Ryazan-Moscow;
  • M32: Samara-Uralsk-Aktyubinsk-Chimkent.

In addition, interregional roads to Orenburg, Volgograd, Ulyanovsk, and Saratov pass through the city.

Administrative division

Like all cities, Samara is administratively divided into several districts:

  • Leninist;
  • Kirovsky;
  • Kuibyshevsky;
  • October;
  • Soviet;
  • Samara;
  • Railway;
  • Krasnoglinsky;
  • Industrial.

It so happened that initially the city was built closer to the Volga, so it was here that historical buildings, business centers, cultural and administrative premises accumulated. The areas adjacent to the embankment are called central. Oktyabrsky, Leninsky, Zheleznodorozhny, Samara districts are located here.

Transport

Region 163 is quite developed in the field of transport. Thus, such types of transport as aviation, railway, passenger, and river have been formed here.

Kurumoch Airport is the main airfield operating and receiving flights within the country and abroad.

One of the most important junctions is the railway station. It receives commuter trains, freight trains and long-distance transport.

The river station is also one of the largest transport hubs in the Volga region. This transport point receives ships from various ports of the country. Walking tours along the Volga and trips to nearby settlements are also organized.

Trolleybuses, buses, metro, trams, and minibuses are offered as passenger transport. Tourists who come to the city often ask: what region is this? 163 is Samara.

Population

1.3 million people live in the city. It turns out that Samara is a city with a population of one million. Among its similar ones are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan. Each metropolis and its region was assigned its own code. So, region 163 is Samara and the region.

By national composition there are:

  • Russians - 90%;
  • Tatars - 3.6%;
  • Ukrainians - 1.1%;
  • Mordovians - 1.1%;

Attractions

The most important is the 5-kilometer promenade, where beaches and recreation areas are located. There is no such embankment in any city in Russia.

In addition to the embankment, in Samara you can visit Old Believer and Orthodox churches, mosques, synagogues, Protestant and Catholic churches.

The five-domed Edinoverie Church, the 12-domed Resurrection Cathedral in the name of Christ the Savior, the Iversky Convent - all these are some of the main church attractions.

The historical center of the city is called an open-air museum. Not far from the ancient mansions there are wooden log houses. On the site of the Samara fortress is Khlebnaya Square. For the 400th anniversary, the city authorities took care of the construction of a log house imitating the tower of the Samara fortress.

The square where the governor's residence and the district court were located is considered one of the oldest. They named her Alekseevskaya. Today its name is Revolution Square.

Samara, Volga, embankment: do you want to enjoy stunning views and breathe in the spirit of history? Then you need to go here - region 163, Samara.

The issue of state registration plates (autonomous license plates) deserves special attention. It should be noted that license plates for a car are issued at the time of its registration with the traffic police. They remain on the car until one of the owners decides to replace them.

License plates are always unique, and there cannot be a situation in which different cars have the same registration numbers (they must differ in at least one number or letter).

In this article we will tell readers about what car codes are used on license plates, as well as the main features and procedure for obtaining license plates.

Car license plate: what is it?

Each license plate has 2 zones, in one of which (on the left) the series (3 letters) and registration number (3 digits) are indicated. The other zone (on the right side) has the code of the region in which the vehicle is registered, an image of the flag, as well as the letter code of the country (in our case, RUS).

Let's take a closer look at the type of license plates that are most often used in Russia:

The vast majority of Russian vehicles have just such license plates. At first glance, it may seem that the number contains obscure letters and numbers, but upon closer examination this is not the case.

The procedure for issuing and changing the series and number on vehicle license plates

It is important to know that license plates use any numbers (from 0 to 9), but not all letters. It was decided to use in the notation only those letters that have similar spellings in the Latin alphabet. Thus, the following letters are used on vehicle license plates: A, B, C, E, K, M, N, O, R, T, U, X.

Now we should dwell on such a moment as the order of issuing numbers.

With the exception of special series, license plates are issued to vehicle owners in order. The order of changes in symbol numbers deserves special attention, since they change according to a system that can hardly be called easy and understandable. So, when issuing subsequent numbers:

  1. Most often, the 3rd digit is changed (for example, after A688BC, the next car will be issued a license plate A689BC);
  2. The second most frequently replaced digit is the 2nd digit of the number (for example, after A689BC, the next car will be issued the license plate A690BC);
  3. The third most frequently replaced digit is the 3rd digit of the number (for example, after A699BC, the next car will be issued the license plate A700BC);
  4. The fourth most common replacement is the 1st letter (for example, after A688BC, the next car will be issued a license plate B688BC);
  5. The fifth most frequently replaced letter is the 3rd letter (for example, after A688BC, the next car will be issued a license plate B688BE);
  6. The last, sixth most frequently replaced letter is the 2nd letter (for example, after A688BC, the next car will be issued a license plate B688CC).

The above numerical and alphabetic numbering determines the numbering of vehicles within a certain region. For those who like specific numbers, we inform you that within one region it is possible to issue license plates of the same code, the total number of which will not exceed 1,726,272 license plates.

After the specified limit has been exhausted, the Russian region number is changed, which is located on the right side of each registration number. After carrying out such a procedure, numbers within a specific region begin to be issued again.

At the same time, in the Russian Federation, each subject is assigned a separate code, and in regions with a very large number of registered cars, several codes are assigned at once.

Download the table of automobile codes of regions of the Russian Federation

In order to always have these codes at hand, we suggest you download a table of license plates for Russian regions.

You can choose what is more convenient for you: a printable version, or it is better to download automobile region codes in pdf format:

License plates: main varieties

Please note that in addition to license plates for civilian vehicles, there are also license plates for diplomatic vehicles and military vehicles.

Let's look at examples of license plates of different types.

3-digit area codes that begin with the number "2"

Those who understand the specifics of license plates are often surprised by the fact that in television or movies you can see a car whose region code is three-digit and begins with the number “2”.

To understand what, for example, region 202 means, consider Appendix 1, which contains the Order “On State Registration Plates of Vehicles”:

Therefore, three-digit region codes begin exclusively with the numbers “1” or “7”. Other numbers in such codes are not used due to the fact that they simply do not fit in width onto a standard size license plate.

So it turns out that if you see a region code on a vehicle’s license plate, for example, 202,236,277, etc., then you can safely conclude that these numbers were produced and placed on this vehicle illegally. It is advisable to report this fact to the traffic police by calling 102.

We would like to ask our readers that if you have come across vehicles with region codes that are not in our table, please write about it in the comments to this article.

From the information above, we can draw a conclusion regarding the number of vehicles registered in a particular region. For example, Moscow now has about 10,500,000 cars.

We draw the attention of drivers that at the moment they can register their own vehicle in any region of the Russian Federation (regardless of the registration of the car owner). Thus, the region code on license plates does not always correspond to the actual place of residence of the car owner.

Once again in the video we will repeat what region codes exist in Russia and what license plates there are:

In conclusion, it should be noted that area codes are quite important for all road users (both car drivers and ordinary pedestrians). They are needed in order to easily identify a specific car, as well as find out information about its owner.

Based on the type of license plates and the information they contain, an experienced user can easily determine the place where the car was registered, who the owner is (diplomatic or private), as well as which particular structure a particular car belongs to.

Agree that any knowledge will never be superfluous, and the information given above is guaranteed to be useful in various situations that may arise on the road.

Russia is the largest country in the world, which includes many regions. Every day we see dozens, hundreds of regional numbers on vehicle registration plates (numbers). If someone suddenly has a question: 163 - what region or city is seen on the sign of a car passing by, then we are ready to answer. To do this, let's turn our gaze to the wide and expansive river of our Motherland - the Volga. More precisely, on its left bank. It is here, in a picturesque place between the mouths of the Samara and Sok rivers, opposite the Samara Luka, that the 163rd region is located, namely the city of Samara and the Samara region.

General information about the city of Samara and the Samara region

The Samara region in terms of population is in 11th place among the regions of Russia, in 4th place in the Volga Federal District.

Region 163 includes such large Russian cities as Samara (more than 1,170 thousand people), Tolyatti (more than 710 thousand people), Syzran (more than 170 thousand people), Novokuibyshevsk (more than 105 thousand people).

The administrative center of the region is the city of Samara, which is also a large-scale economic, scientific, educational, transport and cultural center. The main industries are mechanical engineering, oil refining, and food industry.

History of Samara

The city of Samara - the main city of the 163rd region - was founded back in 1586, initially as a guard fortress, built on the site of the modern Samara Valve Plant and extending to the south of it. The fortress served as a guard for the Volga river routes. Samara was given city status in 1688; the name of the city was given by the river that flowed nearby.

In 1851, Samara was transformed into the center of the Samara province. Thanks to well-developed agriculture, the province became the main center for grain trade on the Volga.

Today it seems unthinkable to rename an entire city, but Samara was renamed Kuibyshev in 1935 (in honor of the Soviet party leader V.V. Kuibyshev). And after the collapse of the USSR, in 1991 the city was returned to its original name - Samara, and the Kuibyshev region became Samara again. By the way, a city called Kuibyshev now exists in the Novosibirsk region.

City transport

The Samara region is a major transport center through which the shortest routes from Western and Central Europe to Central Asia, Kazakhstan, and Siberia pass.

Federal highways pass through region 163: M5, E30, AN6 (this road carries cargo from Europe to Siberia and the Urals); A300, E121, AN63 (used for transport links with Central Asia and Kazakhstan).

The city has an international airport "Kurumoch", which receives most types of aircraft.

Since the rivers connect the Samara region with Moscow, Europe, the Western Urals, the White, Baltic and Black Seas, water transport routes are very well developed here, receiving vessels of the river-sea system, having access communications, terminal and loading and unloading facilities.

Since the main city of the 163rd region of Russia is a city with a population of one million, there is a metro with 10 stations.

Climate and ecology

The climate of the Samara region is temperate continental. Due to the influence of Volga air currents, it is drier.

The average annual air temperature is +5.7 °C, the average annual wind speed is 3.3 m/s, the average annual air humidity is 74%.

As for the environment, a rather sad picture emerges in region 163: the level of air pollution with suspended substances is 43% higher than the average for our country. The reason for this, of course, is industrial plants - there are 105 (!) large industrial enterprises.

Some sights of the city

Let's walk through the most interesting places in the city of Samara.

  1. Central embankment. Rumor has it that this embankment of the Volga River is the most beautiful and longest in length (just imagine - 5 kilometers) embankment in Russia. It is made of special German granite, brought to the city after the victory in the Great Patriotic War, and construction began in the 50s of the twentieth century. On the embankment there are historical monuments: the Ladya stele, made of snow-white stone in honor of the 400th anniversary of the city; monument to Saint Ser. Radonezh; monument to Saint Alexy (heavenly patron of Samara). Also from the embankment there is access to the sandy beach and river station.
  2. Monument of Glory. Glory Square - here is the building of the Administration of the Samara Region, the Monument of Glory, the Temple of St. George the Victorious and the eternal flame. The monument is a 13-meter figure of a worker on a 40-meter pedestal, raising wings above the city on raised arms. This impressive monument symbolizes the undeniable contribution of city residents to the creation and development of the aviation industry of our Motherland.
  3. Drama Theater. It has existed since 1851 and is famous for its extraordinary beauty of architectural structure, made in the Russian style, a kind of “gingerbread house”. In 1854, there was a severe fire, due to which the wooden theater building completely burned down, but the city authorities collected 3,000 rubles and purchased a grain barn, which they installed on the Bread Square of the same name. And only by 1888, thanks to the efforts of the Duma and the city mayor P. Alabin, a beautiful stone theater building was erected on Theater Square, designed by the famous Moscow architect M. Chichagov.
  4. Stalin's bunker. There is a defensive structure in the city - a real bunker built for the Supreme Commander of the USSR, Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin. The bunker is located at a depth of 37 meters (for comparison, Hitler’s bunker was 16 meters deep), it was built in 1942 and declassified in 1991.

Conclusion

Now, when you are walking with a friend around your city, which is located several thousand kilometers from the Samara region, you can confidently answer your friend’s sudden question: “What is region 163 by car, what is next to the store?” In this article we have provided a lot of important and interesting information that will help you remember the region code.
