Real fuel consumption max. Mitsubishi ACX - owner reviews, fuel consumption, photos

The debut of the compact crossover from Mitsubishi Motors took place in 2010 at the Geneva Motor Show. A small city SUV was created specifically for active driving. A distinctive feature of the car was its appearance, namely the design of the radiator grille, borrowed from the manufacturer of F-2 fighter jets, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. In 2013, the model underwent restyling. Until 2016, the production of ACX for Russia was carried out at a plant in Illinois, USA.

Mitsubishi ACX 1.6, 1.8

Fuel consumption rate per 100 km

Petrol versions with 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 liter engines, paired with a manual transmission or CVT, were imported into the domestic market. The power of the power plants varied between 116-150 hp. before restyling and 140-150 hp. after him. Acceleration to hundreds is 11.4-13.1 liters, average fuel consumption in the city is 7.8-10.5 liters per 100 km, and 5.0-6.8 liters on the highway.

Feedback on actual consumption

  • Victor, Kostroma. We purchased ACX at the beginning of 2012 in a showroom. Equipment with 1.8 AT (140 hp). We often travel by car on long vacation trips. In terms of consumption with the air conditioner running and taking into account all possible traffic jams, the result is a maximum of 12.3 liters in the city and no more than 8 liters on the highway. The car reaches 175 km/h very easily, but at this speed the sound insulation fails greatly.
  • Daniil, Moscow. I waited in line for a brand new Mitsubishi ACX for almost 4 months. In October 2010 I finally got behind the wheel. I drove it over distances of 1080 km and averaged 7.1 liters per 100 km in the combined cycle. If we talk about the highway, then there is only 5.8 liters per 100-120 km/h. The only downside is the noise in the cabin, since in all other respects the SUV is simply indestructible. Assembly with 1.6 MT engine (117 hp).
  • Timur, Volgograd. At one time I had a 2010 Mitsubishi ACX with a 2-liter engine with a CVT. Power 150 hp, beautiful appearance, but sold as soon as I found a buyer - the plastic inside was too cheap and creaky, no shock absorbers. And the consumption was scary - from 15 to 25 liters in the city is clearly too much. If you drive at 60 km/h, then it would be 10.5-11.5 liters.
  • Vladimir, Ekaterinburg. Mitsubishi ACX 2011 1.6 MT. Since May 2011, it has already driven 38 thousand and there are no complaints about the work - a solid crossover with a Japanese soul. I'm especially pleased with the savings on gasoline, since 6 liters at average speed is simply awesome. But at 140 km/h you have to fork out - 7-9 liters. The main disadvantage of ACX is its coating (water-based paint - what genius thought of that?).
  • Vladislav, Moscow. I've always liked the Japanese auto industry. So I couldn’t resist - I bought my third Mitsubishi in 10 years. 1.8 liter unit with automatic transmission, 140 horses under the hood. Good handling at any speed. And the consumption is generally a fairy tale. Well, who can now boast of 6.5 liters per 100 km on the highway? In the city this is generally 9.5 liters, but at rush hour there were 11-12 liters. Starting engines is just as easy in winter as in summer.
  • Ivan, Belgorod. I am engaged in distilling cars from Europe and my experience with ACX became the reason for purchasing this model for personal use. I took a 1.6 with a manual transmission from 2010. It’s impossible to count all the advantages, but it’s difficult not to mention the consumption - 5.8 liters in suburban mode, 6.5-7.0 liters in Belgorod and about 10 liters if stuck in traffic jams. So far I have driven 7000 km, but I feel that the car will stay with me for a long time.
  • Vitaly, Magnitogorsk. My son and I bought an ACX after restyling. Build 2014 1.6 MT. At first they didn’t even believe the onboard car when they saw the consumption figures - some 5.8 liters on the highway at a speed of under 100 km/h. But in the city everything very much depends on driving style: 8 liters in “grandfather” mode and 9-10 liters at 80 km/h. Gear shifting is a little rough, but so far it's tolerable.
  • Anatoly, Tomsk. We bought our car in 2014 from a dealer. Volume 1.8 liters with automatic transmission, invite 2WD equipment. Before that there was a diesel Kashak. If you only drive around the city, you get 15 liters (95th). If you ride on the highway, then no more than 9 liters at 120-140 km/h. But if you don’t exceed 70 km/h, you get a modest 6.3 liters per 100 km. The only annoying thing is the terrible acceleration dynamics, otherwise everything is fine.
  • Andrey, Novgorod. Mitsubishi ACX 2014, 2.0 AT engine (150 hp). An excellent crossover for its price. On average it pulls 11-12 liters per hundred in the combined cycle. It doesn’t work out less, only at speeds below 90 km/h. Somehow you don’t feel 150 horses, but in the city they literally gobble up 15-16 liters of fuel. The highway at 110-120 km/h takes about 8 liters. Not very economical, but that's why it's an SUV.
  • Stanislav, Chelyabinsk. I doubted the choice of engine size for a long time. In the end I took the 1.6 with manual. Before that I had Lancer 9, but I got used to it quickly. The low consumption is pleasing, because 7-8 liters in the city and up to 6.5 on the highway are excellent figures. But this is only at 120 km/h, because at 150 km/h consumption increases to 13 liters. In general, a full tank of 63 liters is more than enough for exactly 945 km at a speed of 100.
  • Anna, Kazan. I took my 1.6-liter Mitsubishi in the summer of 2015. I like the maneuverability and controllability. I don’t spend much on fuel, since in extra-urban driving I only use 5.5 liters, and in urban driving from 6 to 7 liters. I wanted to check what would happen to the engine in cold weather and was surprised - at -15 degrees I just turned on the ignition and drove off, it couldn’t be easier.
  • Andrey, Peter. The car is quite interesting, but nothing more. I drove it for a year and sold it. From what I remember, the 1.8-liter engine in the urban cycle consumed up to 12-14 liters per 100 km. As for front-wheel drive, it turns out too much. But the suspension is soft and the cabin is comfortable. In general, the car is for everyone and for those who do not watch their gasoline costs.

Compact city crossovers, as a separate class of cars, have long won their place in the sun. Today, almost every automaker has representatives of such models. In this case, Mitsubishi was no exception.

Attention! Not everywhere the car is called Mitsubishi ASX.

Under this name, this model is known mostly in Europe. At home In its native Japan, this car is known to everyone as the Mitsubishi RVR. In the United States, this is only a sports version of the Mitsubishi Outlander.

Relatively recently, this car began to be actively sold in France. And there they now know it as a Citroen C4 or Peugeot 4008. It’s funny how many personalities the same car can have.

After the last modification, the car began to look a little different. At this rate, very soon it will be difficult to recognize her. So far the changes are benefiting the car. It is unknown what will happen in the future.

The Mitsubishi ASX crossover debuted in 2010 at the Geneva World Motor Show. The main purpose of this car is active driving in urban environments. This is one of the points that explains its considerable popularity in Russia. The second point is modern, carefully thought-out design of this model. In particular, this applies to the interesting radiator grille, copied by the developers of jet fighters. Cars intended for the Russian market are assembled in the United States at an automobile plant in Illinois. But one of the first things that potential buyers are interested in is the fuel consumption of the Mitsubishi ACX per 100 km.

What determines the fuel consumption of Mitsubishi ASX

It is difficult to definitively answer the question of what fuel consumption is on the Mitsubishi ASX. It depends on many things. For example:

  • From driving style;
  • From the time of year;
  • From the engine configuration;
  • From the serviceability of filters and fuel system;
  • From the equipment turned on in the car (air conditioners, music, etc.).

If you rely on officially provided data, then Mitsubishi ASX consumption ranges from 8 to 10 in the city and from 5 to 7 on the highway. Again, everything depends primarily on the engine installed in the car.

It is worth clarifying that the data presented are quite close to the real state of affairs. That is, this is not the case when the manufacturers declare one consumption of the Mitsubishi ACX, but in reality the car consumes much more. If the consumption is more than the official data, then maximum by 0.5-0.7. In fact, this difference is not significant.

Fuel consumption depending on engine

The first internal combustion engine that can be equipped with this car is a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder gasoline unit. Its power is 117 horses. This engine consumes eight liters in city mode and only five liters when driving on the highway. For the crossover class, fuel consumption like that of the Mitsubishi ACX is truly an achievement. Other models in this segment consume significantly more.

The torque of this motor is 154 Nm. This allows the car to easily accelerate to 183 kilometers per hour. This engine comes with a 5-speed gearbox.

The second engine option is a gasoline 4-cylinder engine with a power of 140 horses and a volume of 1.8 liters. The torque of this unit is 177 Nm. This makes it possible to accelerate the car to 189 kilometers per hour. This internal combustion engine operates in tandem with a CVT variator. The fuel consumption of this Mitsubishi ASX per 100 km is 9.8 liters in the city and approximately 6.4 liters on the highway.

The latest engine option is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit. The torque of this engine is 197 Nm. Due to this, the car is capable of reaching 18 kilometers per hour. Engine power 150 horsepower. The internal combustion engine operates on gasoline in tandem with a CVT variator. Its consumption is slightly higher compared to previous versions. In the city it consumes 10.5 liters, and on the highway 6.8 liters.

Factors affecting fuel consumption are:

  • Body aerodynamics;
  • Subordinate numbers in the gearbox;
  • Car load.

To reduce ASX fuel consumption, you should constantly monitor the technical condition of the car and select the most suitable driving mode. Much will also depend on the driver's experience. This car mainly uses 92 and 95 gasoline. It all depends on the condition and type of engine of the car.

The Mitsubishi ASX was first presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010. With the release of this compact urban crossover, Mitsubishi has made its contribution to filling one of the most popular car classes.

The model is distinguished by its compact dimensions - the length of the crossover is 4295 mm, the wheelbase is 2670 mm. The slightly rearward sloping roofline and sporty body lines enhance aerodynamics and the wedge-shaped design. The side skirts and lower part of the bumpers are not painted in body color, so they create an additional longitudinal line.

The Mitsubishi ASX uses fundamentally new head optics with xenon headlights, their illumination angle is 160 degrees. The lights on the rear of the car are assembled into a horizontal block. The massive rear view mirrors, which are equipped with additional turn signals, fit very harmoniously into the overall look. 17-inch wheels visually increase the size of the car.

I have a purebred Japanese Mitsubishi Asx, so I’ll tell you about it. I've owned it for three years now. Engine 1.8, 150 hp, black (I had to pay extra for it, although they pay extra for all colors except white). I've been waiting for it for a long time. The material in the interior is cheap, but you won't find anything better for that price among classmates. But the leather steering wheel is nice (it's from a Lancer). In general, this crossover almost completely imitates: its suspension is from Outlander. In short, the new body was supplemented with proven spare parts. Handling is like a sedan (thanks to the built-in electric power steering). The dynamics are not very good, but the second pause after pressing worsens it even more. The engine of this car is very smart and the variator is too. Besides, Shumka is rubbish! You can hear the road, bumps, life under the hood. This is a huge minus of the Mitsubishi ASX 1.8. The brakes are clear, good, and have helped me out more than once in winter. Discs are installed at the rear, ventilated at the front. The car brakes straight along the trajectory. The suspension is impeccable (the most optimal of all the crossovers I've driven), easily absorbs potholes, bumps, bumps, and joints. I didn’t notice Krenov when turning. There is enough space for everyone in the cabin. The front seats are mounted high, and rear passengers can even stretch their legs. Good ergonomics, everything is where it is needed, you won’t be distracted from the movement. It’s better not to take the full package (in terms of price it will lose to SUVs, and this is impractical). There are enough off-road qualities for the city. I didn’t get into the mud, but this car is a bit weak for that. I want to sell it in a year, I'm tired of Shumka. There were no breakdowns.

Hello!!! Before ASX I had two cars. I really like comfort, so I originally wanted a sedan. One day I went into a Mitsubishi showroom to take a closer look at the Lancer, and accidentally noticed the ASX. It was definitely love at first sight! The car was not cheap - 889,000 rubles, but I decided to buy it) Front-wheel drive, CVT. Today my baby is 5 months old. As for the cladding, that’s fine for me. True, there is a lot of plastic, and the color is branded, and the rear window smudges quickly and the side windows do not fold. The inside is very comfortable, but they saved money on the finishing of the car. The plastic is soft in some places, and even oak in others! The height of the driver's seat is adjustable. The glove compartment is not roomy at all. The trunk is also a bit small, but then again, it’s okay for anyone, for example, for me. The climate control in the car is good - it’s warm in winter, and the air conditioning works fine in summer. Up to 140 km/h. The dynamics are excellent, after that it will be worse. The suspension is a bit harsh. And so, the car drives reliably along the highway)) However, sometimes the rear rearranges when turning. This car is intended for the highway and the city, but not for off-road use. If we talk about consumption, then on average 8-9 liters. at 100 km/h. Maintenance and service: nothing has come out so far. Insurance cost us 60,000 rubles. To sum it up: the car is good. I love. I have never regretted it. Bright in appearance, excellent dynamics, high clearance.

The car was originally bought for my wife. Sometimes I race it too. Since the purchase, we have already driven 27 thousand km. I like the equipment of the car: good leather interior, electric seat adjustments. But here's one thing: I regret that I took front-wheel drive rather than all-wheel drive. The car is playful and agile. Economical: at 1.5-2 thousand revolutions, consumption is about 10 liters. at 100 km/h. Comfortable interior - everything is nearby, I don’t have to stretch anywhere. The glove compartment, in my opinion, is roomy, there is even a business card holder). The rear seats are very comfortable for passengers - spacious, plenty of space. The trunk seems to be a little small, but it’s enough for us. When traveling to the country or on vacation, everything you need fits. Handles the road excellently, the brakes are excellent. I took 1.8 - it seemed normal. In my opinion, there are no shortcomings - everything suits me. There are, of course, small shortcomings, but this is my personal opinion: - in severe frosts, when you just leave the garage, the rear suspension creaks, but then after 20 minutes it goes away; - the armrest is too small; - the radio is too quiet... the volume range is poor done; - there is no barrel washer sensor yet. Well, that seems to be all. In general, I want to say that the car is reliable, the road behavior is excellent, and it fully justifies its price. My wife chose the car, saw it, liked it, decided to buy it, in short, we bought it blindly, but, nevertheless, we were not at all disappointed in it)) And my wife still couldn’t be happier! Good luck to everyone on the roads))

I rarely drive this car, I bought it for my wife, but I was still able to understand what kind of car it was. The mileage is already 37,000 km. Fully equipped, only they refused all-wheel drive, they spared money, but in vain! Active machine! Especially at the start! But at the same time it is quite economical - 9-10 liters per hundred (when driving city/highway). The interior is well thought out, and the atmosphere is quite cozy. And the buttons are very large, it’s hard not to notice them. The glove compartment is not only roomy, it also has a compartment for business cards and a pen holder, which is convenient. The on-board computer is very informative and looks great on the dashboard. The doors open easily. Rear passengers are very comfortable. I also like that you can get into the trunk directly from the cabin by folding down the armrests. The trunk is not particularly large, but I didn’t buy it for transportation. The brakes are excellent. The management is excellent. There is quite enough power for overtaking (at first I thought that 1.8 would be rather weak, but it is quite enough). In winter there are problems due to snow, but I have never gotten stuck. I didn’t find any obvious flaws, although if you find fault, you can find minor flaws. - I would like there to be a sensor for the reservoir washer, - there are strange things with the operation of the auto-light function, - the button for heating the passenger seat has gone out, I will change it under warranty, - the noise of the wheels is rather bad, it could have been done better, - in severe frost when starting to drive when overcoming speed bumps, the rear suspension squeaked, but this later went away, - the radio is very quiet (((, - the fan is very noisy at mid-power, - the armrest is too small, - and the foglights were broken with a stone, they should be made higher. Overall, a good car, comfortable , inexpensive to maintain. My wife is delighted with the car!

The ride is really high, which is great! You feel real satisfaction when you get into this car! Although, whoever is looking for crickets will find them everywhere! Some people still wear fur coats and earflaps for the north. But the interior of this car is very warm! It’s good even when it’s -25 outside. At a speed of 120-140 km/h I even turn off the heater. Quite a successful little Japanese crossover. The consumption is simply ridiculous! Consumables are cheap! He hit his million-dollar segment perfectly. Successful in all matters! I think all ASX owners can be congratulated on a great purchase.

Added: LeszekM, 09/28/2013

There are almost no cons. After 80,000 I changed the front struts, it seemed to me that there was something wrong with them initially. I advise all ASX owners to change the oil in the gearbox before 100,000 miles. This will be the key to the subsequent operation of the box!

There are almost no cons. After 80,000 I changed the front struts, it seemed to me that there was something wrong with them initially. I advise all ASX owners to change the oil in the gearbox before 100,000 miles. This will be the key to the subsequent operation of the box!
